Custom sorting in the Sitecore backend

The “sort subitems” function in the Sitecore (6.0) backend does not allow to select this custom field. Two steps are needed to accomplish this. The first is creating a icomparer class and the second is adding it to Sitecore.

Sitecore Triage Workflow Action

Long time and no post but I’m hoping to get back into the swing of things. Decided to start off with something straightforward but hopefully useful, it’s a workflow action that will triage items that fail validation into another state.

Practical Sitecore Network Deployment

Sitecore is a powerful CMS. No doubt about it. The amount of features packed in this one package is definitely impressive.

Improving Code Quality

Last week someone asked me to email them a list of tips for improving code quality and I thought it would make a nice blog post; I picked just three areas and only made a few bullet points for each one:

Content Management: Organizing Branch Templates

Earlier this year, I wrote about organizing Master Hierarchies in the Sitecore content tree. I described a limitation in Sitecore 5.3 that has changed for the better in Sitecore 6.

Forex Blog: Holding on and Letting Go

I had a couple of trades (EURUSD and GBPJPY) this week and both could've given me twice as many pips had I closed at the right time.

Forex Question: How are gold and other commodities related to Forex?

What's the effect of strong gold to weak dollar, and vice versa? Are they really related to each other?
