How do you remove spyware from your laptop?

I just, today, got a lot of virus and spyware.

How can i remove a spyware that does not allow me to use All programs>Run>msconfig to disable anything ?

I receive this message and my system freezes, "Spyware detected on your computer! Install an antivirus or spyware remover to clean your computer.
