There are several ways in which viruses and spyware can invade your computer. Some spyware prefer to attack the computer by installing a program that pops up and asks you to purchase it. Others take the route of manipulating the drivers inside the computer to trick them into thinking the virus is one. If someone was to simply go to the device manager and look for a virus, you would not be able to see it because it is a hidden device.
