Victor Ortiz (24-2-1, 19KOs) failed miserably in proving to the boxing community that he is worthy of the superstar status when he was stopped by Marcos Rene Maidana (26-1, 25KOs) in the sixth round. That night, was supposed to be Ortiz'z coming out party, instead he had gotten the other way around.
